Man arrested in Eissler St standoff arraigned on 7 charges

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who allegedly assaulted police officers as they took him into custody following a SWAT standoff has been charged with six felony counts and a misdemeanor.

Ronnie Germaine Wiley Jr. was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in connection with the standoff. He’s also charged in a separate case involving allegations of human trafficking and pimping of a minor, court records show.

Wiley, 32, was ordered held on $1 million bail and is due back in court Oct. 16.
