Man sentenced for leaving gun unsecured in teen’s shooting death

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Bakersfield man was sentenced Thursday after pleading no contest to felony charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a teen at his home that occurred after he left a gun unsecured.

Gregory Wisniewski, 34, received a total of three years in prison — two in connection with the deadly shooting, plus another year tacked on for convictions in other cases, prosecutors said.
