The Bakersfield Police Department announced that its Organized Retail Theft Unit recently arrested six suspects in connection with a string of thefts at local stores.
On September 29, 2025, four suspects were apprehended following nine separate theft incidents at stores including Ulta, Nordstrom Rack, Target, and PetSmart, resulting in a total merchandise loss of $9,234.76.
- Roberto Cardiel, 32, and Tiffany Marchand, 32, face multiple theft and drug-related charges.
- Brioni Castro, 35, and Lindsey Owen, 29, were charged with theft.
In a separate case, Kent Angeles, 65, was arrested on October 2, 2025, for his alleged involvement in eight theft incidents at Lowe’s hardware stores, causing a $2,793 loss. Angeles faces charges of grand theft and shoplifting.
Naeem Washington, 21, was arrested on October 6, 2025, for alleged thefts from Walgreens, Target, Dollar General, and JCPenney, with losses totaling $3,409. He faces charges including grand theft, shoplifting, conspiracy, and possession of a controlled substance…
