Kern County braces for potential flooding as storm threatens areas hit by Borel Fire

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — ReadyKern and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said forecasted storms can bring heavy rain and possible flooding to the areas affected by the Borel Fire. The Borel Fire burned nearly 60,000 acres and destroyed the community of Havilah in August 2024.

The areas under Advisory Status are: 736, 737-A, 738, said the Kern County Fire Department.
