Chevron is laying off approximately 175 employees at two of its California offices, extending a series of job reductions tied to the oil giant’s multibillion-dollar cost-cutting plan.
In a letter to state officials, Henry Perea, Chevron’s manager of state government affairs, said the company expects to eliminate about 100 positions at its Lakeside office in San Ramon and 75 at its San Joaquin Valley Business Unit in Bakersfield.
