Police looking for man accused of trying to steal safes in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a man accused of breaking into a business to take two safes.

BPD said on August 12, 2025, at 4:48 a.m., the man was seen breaking into a business in the 2600 block of Mount Vernon Avenue, where he tried to take two safes.

The man is described to be in his 40s and bald. He was wearing a black button-up shirt, white undershirt, black pants, and black shoes…
