‘Dangerously Obese’ deals with deadly health risk

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The mere mention of the word cancer has created terror. As deadly and terrifying as cancer is, there is a health crisis where the mortality rate is even higher.

This comes from Dr. Charles Procter, the bariatric surgeon featured in the TLC new series “Dangerously Obese.” He looks to help individuals attempt to lose weight and reinvent their lives in the production that airs at 9 p.m. Wednesdays on the cable channel.
