Kern County woman convicted of DUI after crashing into home, injuring family inside

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A woman was convicted of driving under the influence, running a stop sign, hitting a fence and telephone, and crashing her vehicle into a home. The crash left a couple and a toddler sleeping inside the home with severe injuries in 2022.

The Kern County District Attorney’s Office said a Kern County jury found Madison Williams guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, driving with 0.08 percent blood alcohol causing injury, and causing a fire of an inhabited structure.
