On October 14, 2025, the Bakersfield Jockey Club in Taft, California, recognized three Taft College student-athletes for their achievements. Faith Hamstreet, a sophomore on the Women’s Golf Team, and freshmen Jazzahlei Satele and Vienna Perier from the Women’s Volleyball Team, received awards. Katy Barrett Baxter, Head Women’s Golf Coach at CSU Bakersfield, presented the awards. Baxter introduced all 18 student-athlete recipients and their coaches. Satele and Perier attended with their coach, Mallori Rossi. Perier left early to attend a chemistry exam.
