BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The day has finally arrived for Kern County — the Hard Rock Casino Tejon opened its doors to thousands of excited visitors on Thursday.
Visitors have made their way to the brand new casino complex just south of Bakersfield along Highway 99 in Mettler. It is sure to be Kern County’s new gaming mecca.

Doors officially opened at noon, but eager visitors stood in line for hours even before its grand opening ceremony. That opening extravaganza included dancers, pyrotechnics, celebration by members of the Tejon Tribe.
The exclamation point? A signature Hard Rock tradition of smashing guitars…
