BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to the theft of a fuel pump panel from a gas station on Taft Highway.
It happened on Sept. 17, 2025, at the Mobil Gas Station located at 2106 Taft Highway. The suspect allegedly removed a panel containing the computer board, credit card pin pad, and credit card reader from a fuel pump.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set man with long dark hair, last seen wearing a straw hat, a face mask, a black t-shirt with a yellow emblem, and dark pants. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white, older model GMC Sierra Extended Cab, missing the front passenger hub cap…
