The Tehachapi Valley Horse Rescue, a nonprofit organization in Kern County, is calling on the community for support to continue its mission of caring for horses in need. Founded in 2019, the rescue operates out of Bear Valley Springs and focuses on helping animals locally in areas such as Kern River Valley, East Kern, Tehachapi, Bakersfield, and Frazier Park.
Amanda Hanson, the president and founder, explained their mission isn’t only to help horses, “And I shouldn’t just say horses, any equine in need, mule, donkey, whatever it maybe.”
