More fog in the forecast

Visibility dropped down as low as 1/8 of a mile in Visalia, Hanford, Lemoore, Delano, and Porterville early Saturday morning, and down to 1/4 of a mile in Madera, due to dense fog. Fresno saw visibilities drop to 3 miles at Fresno-Yosemite, and 1 mile at Chandler. Look for another foggy start to our Sunday, and a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the entire San Joaquin Valley from 3 a.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

It should burn off to hazy afternoon sunshine on Sunday, but there will be some days during the workweek ahead where it will stay foggy all day long. All of that fog will cap our highs to 60 at best. If you want sunshine and warmer weather, head to the mountains! They’ll generally be above the Valley fog, and all of that sunshine should help them to warmer temperatures than we’ll see in the Valley. China Peak Mountain Resort will open this Friday, right after Thanksgiving!…
