BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Every family has their own Thanksgiving tradition from turkey trots to watching classics like “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” But many decide to get involved, give thanks and help give back to the community.
The Mission at Kern County held its annual Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday morning and also provided warm winter jackets and blankets to visitors.
“I look at it as it’s a calling, something that I love to do, something that I look forward to,” said Executive Director of The Mission Carlos Baldovinos.
