Domestic violence restraining order violation suspect fatally shot after pursuit: KCSO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man shot and killed by law enforcement along Highway 99 on Monday was a suspect of a domestic violence restraining order violation.

The Wasco Police Department received a report of a woman being followed by her ex-boyfriend. The woman identified the suspect and said there was an active domestic violence restraining order against him.

Officers confirmed the restraining order and the prior reported violations, as well as one arrest and a case submitted to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.
