Man convicted of molesting an underage girl; faces 8 years, 8 months in prison

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A man who inappropriately touched an underage girl was convicted in a sexual molestation case on Thursday, announced the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA said that on Dec. 4, 2025, Larry Twyman was convicted of lewd and lascivious acts on a minor under 14 years old and false imprisonment.

In the incident on March 28, 2025, Twyman inappropriately touched a minor who was a family acquaintance. She attempted to run, but Twyman grabbed her shirt and held her down while he continued the assault, said prosecutors. She escaped and later reported the incident…
