Bakersfield Man Convicted of Molesting Underage Girl; Faces Nearly 9 Years in Prison

A man who inappropriately touched an underage girl was convicted Thursday in a sexual molestation case, according to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA reported that on Dec. 4, 2025, Larry Twyman was found guilty of committing lewd and lascivious acts on a minor under 14 and of false imprisonment.

Prosecutors said the incident occurred on March 28, 2025, when Twyman assaulted a minor who was a family acquaintance. When she tried to run away, he grabbed her shirt, held her down, and continued the assault. She eventually escaped and later reported what happened…
