BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A convicted robber and third-striker, Jamal White, was denied release last month after the California Board of Parole Hearings (BPH) found that White continues to pose a current and unreasonable risk to the public.
The DA said in a Nov. 19, 2025, hearing, the BPH found that White’s behavior in prison deemed him not suitable for parole due to his approximately 39 rule violations related to violence, gang activity, and substance abuse history.
White’s criminal history dates back to December 2001, when a woman called 911 to report that her home on Stine Road was broken into by two men, including White, and they tried to rob her. The woman said that White held her by gunpoint in the incident in front of her two young children…
