BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Saturday was a festive day at a Bakersfield ice center in celebration of the burn unit at the Grossman Burn Center 9th annual Burn Survivor Christmas Party.
“So this event is a collaboration with the Bakersfield Firefighter’s Burn Foundation and Memorial Hospital. We’re out having a day with our burn survivors at the ice rink so this is a great opportunity for them to come out, have fun and be normal and really forget about their burns, their scars and that sort of thing,” said Chris Bowles with the Bakersfield Fire Department.
