The Kern County oil industry won another battle when a Superior Court judge lifted an order that was blocking new oil permits.
Judge Gregory Pulskamp’s ruling clears the way for the county to start issuing up to 2,000 permits for new wells starting on Jan. 2 when California Senate Bill 237 goes into effect.
