Bakersfield Police Department says Real-Time Information Center is nearing completion, expected to help crime response

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A data center that can provide Bakersfield police officers with real-time information more efficiently is slated to begin operations by the start of 2026, according to officials.

Bakersfield City Council members Eric Arias and Larry Koman received a presentation about the Real-Time Information Center during the Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods Committee meeting on Wednesday.
