Bakersfield PD asking for help to identify suspect in purse theft from vehicle

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help to identify a suspect who allegedly took a purse from a car in August.

The alleged vehicle burglary was reported in the 6600 block of Ming Avenue on Aug. 23 when the suspect stole a large tan purse. The purse contained identifying information for the victim, credit cards and a black Apple iPhone 16E.

The suspect is described as in his 30s, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall to 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build, short black hair and a beard. He was seen wearing light gray shorts and black shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Nissan four-door sedan, according to police.
