BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Westbound lanes on Highway 178 have fully reopened following a traffic disruption Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol Incident Page.
CHP reported that heavy traffic developed near Beale Avenue as law enforcement officials responded to a situation involving a person on the overpass. The incident was first reported around 4:10 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2025, prompting westbound traffic to be temporarily stopped.
