Man gets 5 years in DUI injury crash in NW Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who pleaded no contest to all charges in connection with an alleged drunken driving crash that injured several people — including a child — was sentenced to five years in prison.

Deonicio Gallegos-Ramirez, 35, was sentenced Wednesday, a month after he made an “open plea” in the hope of receiving less time than prosecutors sought.
