BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Rain did not frighten away participants at Beach Park on Friday evening for the Ugly Sweater Christmas Ride, an event hosted by Critical Mass Bakersfield. The group calls attention to investing in bicyclists’ safety and rights, while having fun.
Around 30 riders donned their most outlandish holiday sweaters for the family-friendly gathering.
The event welcomed bicyclists, skateboarders, inline skaters, scooterists, and more. Helmets were mandatory for participation, and the use of working lights was advised.
