Officer shoots suspect who ran from vehicle in NW Bakersfield: police

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man is in the hospital Monday after being shot by an officer after a failed traffic stop in northwest Bakersfield.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, officers attempted a traffic stop in the area of Mohawk Street and Siena Lane at 2:15 a.m. The vehicle stopped on Latina Drive and Pisa Way, one of the occupants fleeing the vehicle eastbound on foot.
