BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A man died after being struck by two vehicles on Highway 99, near Taft Highway early Monday morning. CHP stated that the first driver involved ran away from the scene, while the second driver remained at the scene and contacted emergency personnel.
The California Highway Patrol said on Monday, December 29, 2025, at around 2:32 a.m., CHP officers were called to southbound Highway 99, south of Taft Highway for a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
