BAKERSFIELD, Calif (KBAK/KBFX) As California experiences record rainfall in the final weeks of 2025, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is intensifying efforts to ensure driver safety in Kern County.
CHP is urging drivers to slow down, stay alert, and exercise extra caution on the wet roadways.
“With the bringing of the new year, wet roadways and impaired drivers are top safety concerns in Kern County,” CHP stated.
Resident Ben Abdulla commented on the situation, saying, “Definitely yeah, as soon as it starts to sprinkle or the clouds get too dark during the daytime, Bakersfield starts to fall apart.”…
