Care packages created by non-profit for adults and youth in need

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Over 900 care packages were put together for adults and youth in need by the Patel Foundation, a non-profit created by a doctor couple.

The 26th annual “Feed the Needy and Homeless Distribution” took place at the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center Friday.

The care packages were handed out at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission, Open Door Network, Brundage Navigation Center and the Dream Center. The kits included meals, socks and toiletries…
