Kern County, CA – Drivers across Central California could face hazardous travel conditions starting Wednesday night as powerful winds sweep into Kern County, especially in mountain passes and desert corridors where gusts may reach damaging levels.

According to the National Weather Service office in Hanford, a High Wind Watch and Wind Advisory are in effect for the Kern County Mountains and Desert from 8 p.m. Wednesday through 8 p.m. Thursday.
