Hundreds of people sign petition against mental health diversion in Scrivner case

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Hundreds of angry people signed a petition to push the Attorney General to appeal Zack Scrivner’s mental health diversion decision, a court ruling that ensures he does not see one day in jail.

It has over 1,500 signatures as of Jan. 9, at 5 p.m.

This comes on the heels of national media attention and a bipartisan push from lawmakers aimed at getting Attorney General transparency in the case.
