Cal City seeks permanent repairs for roads damaged by September flood

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California City Council is slated to approve road repair plans following the flood emergency in September, according to the meeting agenda for Tuesday.

The City Council is being recommended to approve task orders from BHT Engineering, a civil engineering company in Bakersfield and Cal City’s city engineer, to permanently repair three streets — Virginia Boulevard, Esse Boulevard and Chrysler Drive, the agenda said.

The California City Correctional Facility — also known as the newly opened Cal City ICE detention facility — is located at 22844 Virginia Boulevard.
