BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — An investigation is underway in northwest Bakersfield after a man was found stabbed to death at a Motel 6 early Sunday morning, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies first received reports of the stabbing at the Motel 6 on Olive Tree Court at around 6:54 a.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
When deputies arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
