BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County woke up to a much colder airmass Friday AM, with temps down to 17 at Lake of The Woods, low 20s around Bear Valley and mid 20s across some of the desert towns. The South Valley got frosty with readings dipping to 31 in Delano and low to mid 30s even around Bakersfield.
Locally chilly overnights giving way to milder afternoons are in the forecast this weekend as high pressure continues to build in over the region.
The “offshore flow” will continue to bring steady and at times gusty Santa Ana winds to portions of Southern California, with breezy conditions across some of Kern County’s mountain and desert areas.
