Juvenile admits to murder in 12-year-old’s shooting death

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A juvenile arrested in the October 2024 shooting death of a 12-year-old boy in Lamont has admitted to murder and violating probation, according to Kern County District Attorney’s Office.

Javier Leo Armendariz admitted to both counts Tuesday in juvenile court, DA’s Office spokeswoman Daniela Gonzaga said.
