BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A semi-trailer was struck by another vehicle, causing it to catch fire and delay traffic on southbound I-5, just north of Highway 46, on Friday night, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Caltrans.
The cause of the crash is not confirmed, but CHP’s website reported that the vehicle that collided with the semi-trailer was swerving before the rear-end collision occurred, just before 10 p.m.
