BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield residents are being invited to a cafe that is reopening in support of culinary students.
The ROC Cafe & Bakery is run by students enrolled in the Culinary, Baking and Pastry Arts programs at the Kern High School District’s Regional Occupational Center. Students practice food safety and restaurant management during the hands-on learning experience.
The cafe reopening event is scheduled for Jan. 21, from noon to 1 p.m., according to organizers. The cafe is located at 501 S. Mount Vernon Avenue and will be open Wednesday through Friday. Regular hours at the ROC Cafe & Bakery are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m…
