KCSO announce arrest of suspect in 2008 North Edwards murder case after 17 years

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office announced an arrest in a murder cold case from 2008, nearly 17 years after a 78-year-old man was found dead inside a North Edwards home. The suspect was identified as a 35-year-old man.

KCSO said on November 25, 2008, deputies responded to the 18000 block of B Street in North Edwards, regarding a death investigation. When deputies arrived, they found 78-year-old Thomas Charles Horton dead inside a home. deceased inside the residence.
