BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A previously convicted felon was arrested after he was allegedly found with stolen ammunition and property in the Mojave area Tuesday, sheriff’s officials said.
Kern County sheriff’s deputies in the Mojave area responded to a reported burglary in the 1400 block of United Street on Jan. 11. Officials said about $10,000 worth of ammunition, two firearms and property belonging to a firearm instructor school were stolen.

Deputies identified the suspect as Trent Vangelder. 39. He was located and arrested in Boron.
Vangelder is a convicted felon with active warrants and multiple previous events for possession of guns and stolen property, officials said.
Deputies located live ammunition and other property belonging to the Mojave burglary victim in Vangelder’s trailer, KCSO said in a statement. Officials said two unrelated guns, soft body armor and a pepper ball launcher were also found…
