January 25, 2026 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on January 23, 2026, deputies with the Kern County
Sheriff’s Office Metro Patrol Division, along with members of Kern County Code Compliance, Kern County Mental Health, and Flood Ministries, conducted direct enforcement in the Oildale area of Bakersfield, California.
During the operation, eight felony and nine misdemeanor arrests were made. Deputies also recovered a stolen vehicle. Deputies assisted Kern County Code Compliance by removing approximately four tons of waste and debris from the area.
