BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two people were arrested in Delano following an operation targeting adults who supply minors with alcohol, according to the Delano Police Department.
Delano police and agents from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control made the arrests Friday following a Shoulder Tap operation, officials said.

Shoulder Tap operations target adults who purchase alcohol for those under the age of 21, according to Delano police. A minor under direct supervision of law enforcement stands outside a liquor or convenience store and asks customers to buy them alcohol, telling them they’re underage and can’t buy it themselves.
If an adult agrees to buy alcohol for a minor, they can be arrested and cited, officials said. The minimum penalty for this action is a $1,000 fine and 24 hours of community service…
