BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Earlimart Middle School was placed on a temporary lockdown on Thursday afternoon due to police activity in the area, but the lockdown has since been lifted, said a district official.
An official with the Earlimart School District said on January 29, 2026, a 1:32 p.m., the campus on Sutter Avenue was placed on lockdown. Shortly later, at 1:48 p.m., it was lifted.
