Woman arrested near downtown Bakersfield bar for allegedly stabbing another woman following argument

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — An argument at a bar led to the stabbing of a woman with over 100 onlookers in downtown Bakersfield on Saturday, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Officers responded to the 1500 block of 19th Street for a 911 call about a stabbing at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

They found the female adult victim down in the roadway and surrounded by a “large hostile and unruly crowd” of over 100 people, officials said.

Special Enforcement Unit and patrol officers worked to disperse the crowd and secure the crime scene. Private security directed additional officers to the suspect who was fleeing eastbound on foot with the knife, according to BPD…
