BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department conducted a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint Friday night and impounded 11 vehicles.
Police said the checkpoint was conducted in the 1800 block of Oak Street from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.
During the time of the checkpoint, 1,103 vehicles were screened, one driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, six drivers were cited for license violations, seven drivers were cited for driving with a suspended license and 11 vehicles were impounded.
