BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The first of a series of storms is bringing rain to parts of the Central Valley including Kern County on Monday.
Rain fell overnight and in the early morning hours. Steady rain has fallen throughout Kern County and multiple crashes have been reported along roads throughout the morning, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page.

Even with the rain and some snow, all major highways remain open — Highway 58, Highway 99 and Interstate 5 are all open as of 1:30 p.m. Monday. Motorists are encouraged to drive with caution along roads throughout the day.
