BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — You can usually find St. Louis native Randy Robinson on the basketball courts of Bakersfield High School coaching the varsity team.
But while he’s not helping the girls ball out on the court, he’s at home with his blended family and his wife of 19 years — Marlo Robinson.

“I don’t feel like our family has ever taken the time that we have with each other for granted,” said Marlo. “We just aren’t that type of family. We’re just very, very close, even with cousins and brothers and sisters and our parents.”
But what started as a normal November morning in the Robinsons’ south Bakersfield home quickly turned into a heart-racing situation…
