A California man who hid 50 lbs. of dynamite in an underground cave has learned his fate.

Matthew Henry Jacober, 44, was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 17, to five years in prison for being a felon in possession of explosives and manufacturing crystal methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California announced in a press release.

Authorities said, citing court documents, that in July 2025, Jacober had the dynamite hidden underground about 10 to 15 feet from the trailer he was living in at the time…
