Trial date postponed for man accused of beating girlfriend to death with stick

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The trial of a Bakersfield man accused of beating his girlfriend to death with a stick was postponed Monday.

Salvador Navarro-Razo, 45, is due back in court next week. A courtroom has not been assigned for his murder trial.

On the morning of June 18, 2024, the body of Angelica Castillo Fernandez was found inside the trailer where the couple lived on South Union Avenue after a friend reported getting a call from Navarro-Razo in which he said Fernandez “was in a better place now.”…
