BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — While new military action in Iran has been impacting American military service members across the world, veterans in Bakersfield who previously served in the Middle East and other conflicts are feeling the effects.
“I went through some highs and lows the past few days,” combat veteran Chad Garcia said. “I see that and I want to be a part of it.”

Garcia was a sergeant in the U.S. Army Airborne Infantry and deployed to Afghanistan.
When news broke of U.S. air strikes in Iran, Garcia says a part of him wanted to go and fight. “All this, I’ve been through. It’s triggering. It sends me on a roller coaster of emotions.”…
