BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man is dead Friday after crashing into a Freightliner on Highway 43 near Shafter, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported just before 5 a.m. on Highway 43, near Orange Street.
According to CHP, a man driving a Toyota was traveling southbound on Highway 43 north of Orange Street. At the same time, a 42-year-old man from Shafter was driving a Freightliner and towing double trailers at about 15 to 20 miles per hour in front of the Toyota…
